I created this blog to talk about my hand crafted jewelry. I was hoping to open my on line store on August 22, but life gave me another hard blow.

You see I have been staying with a friend after loosing my home. I had gotten a job and was doing okay. Then that job came to an end, the car I was leasing had come full term and had to be turned in.

I thought it was a great option to open the online store since I had no transportation and wouldn't be doing the craft fairs, I could make jewelry and sell it on line. At least that's what my plan was till my friends home became slated to be sold at public auction.
I was beside myself. Fear took hold again and I felt defeated.

I made a few calls to some friends and I have the opportunity to move to North Carolina and stay with a friend and start my life over! Wonderful, now I just need to find a way to get there.

So I started a Go fund me page and opened the on line store anyway.
I haven't raised enough money to get to North Carolina yet but it will happen!

Artist Statement

The first time that I can remember making jewelry from wire, I must have been around 9. I'm dating myself now, because I got the wire from the telephone man who was installing new phones for people in the neighborhood. Yes they really had to run wires back then! We made those simple little spiral rings from the multi-colored wires that we as kids would clamor for. It was so much fun and kept us busy for hours. I was also one of those kids who loved marbles and pretty rocks, my pockets were always full of them, which my mother did not appreciate when they made it into the washer.
So it would make sense at some point in my life I would make my way back to that. I have used many mediums in a variety of crafts, I am always making something and I could list them all, but that would be boring.  I'm sure at some point you will see some other craft stuff from me, but for now the wire and stones are my primary focus.

Being creative  is more than a past time for me it's what keep me going, it is my soul's path, and the truest part of my being. A friend of mine once pointed out how I physically change when I start talk about my crafting.
