The first time that I can remember making jewelry
from wire, I must have been around 9. I'm dating myself now, because I got the
wire from the telephone man who was installing new phones for people in the
neighborhood. Yes they really had to run wires back then! We made those simple
little spiral rings from the multi-colored wires that we as kids would clamor
for. It was so much fun and kept us busy for hours. I was also one of those
kids who loved marbles and pretty rocks, my pockets were always full of them,
which my mother did not appreciate when they made it into the washer.
So it would make sense at some point in my life I
would make my way back to that. I have used many mediums in a variety of
crafts, I am always making something and I could list them all, but that would
be boring. I'm sure at some point you
will see some other craft stuff from me, but for now the wire and stones are my
primary focus.
Being creative is more than a past time for me it's what
keep me going, it is my soul's path, and the truest part of my being. A friend
of mine once pointed out how I physically change when I start talk about my
crafting.
